INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM
United Nations, New York

APRIL 26-28, 2005

The spring 2005 symposium will convene at the United Nations, New York and will involve 400 students from world Universities and Colleges. Three-day event will discuss the importance of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and reveal implementation strategies designed by 400 students and entry-level public servants. The symposium will produce a resolution co-written by all the participants and will be sent to UN Economic and Social Council meeting, which will convene in New York in July 2005.


  United Nation's Millennium Development Goals

  1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
  2. Achieve universal primary education
  3. Promote gender equality and empower women
  4. Reduce child mortality
  5. Improve maternal health
  6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
  7. Ensure environmental sustainability
  8. Develop a global partnership for development

Scholarships
We will award a total of $10,000 in scholarships to help
further the educational aspirations of the top 19 participants. The Presidential Scholarship awardee will receive $3,000. All participants who successfully complete the program will be honored with Symposium Completion certificates.
